Aquapure Traveller Is The Best Thing I Took With Me!

Earlier this summer I was lucky enough to travel to the Andean Mountains in South America with a charitable organisation. I travelled with about 24 other students and the leaders who organised the expedition. We travelled across the Andes in Peru through to Bolivia and Chile over the space of three and half weeks.

I'd bought an Aquapure Traveller bottle a few weeks beforehand, after being recommended by a friend who used his on a trip to the Himalayas. I wanted something safe and yet easy to use on my trip; to cut down on things such as purification tablets and iodine, which I've found, leave a taste in the water before.

I found out quite a few people on my trip had bought the Aquapure Traveller too, and whilst out there we were all extremely chuffed with them! I cannot tell you how easy it makes it for you, simply filling it up and screwing the top onthen that's it for 15 minutes and its ready to drink!

Whilst on the walks our fellow trekkers had to stop for sometimes 15 minutes at a time, to fill their bottles up from a mountain spring and sort out all their purification tablets and droplets, which tended to take 30 minutes or more to work - we could simply fill our bottles full of water, screw on the top and set off again, ready to quench our thirsts with the now fresh clean water just 15 minutes later.

We did a lot of walking on the trip, from the Incan jungles near Macchu Pichhu to the Antiplano region of Peru, where we saw the rare sight of Giant Condors flying metres above us at the top of the Colca Canyon.

One of my best memories though has to be sitting up on a mountain 5000m above sea level and watching the sun rise above the clouds, having filled my Aquapure Traveller bottle 20 mins earlier and knowing it had only been running down from a little mountain waterfall 20 minutes or so before. It was so cool and refreshing and certainly beat the yellowy, iodine-tasting water everyone else had to put up with.

All in all, the bottle is one of the best things I took with me on the trip, and I plan on buying another one so I have two for when I do the Canadian Rockies next year.

Its so unbelievably easy to use and look after, and you can't beat the unforgettable refreshing taste of the Andean mountain spring water I was able to use it for!
