Ginge Fullen

- Africa's Highest Chalenge

ginge fullen2

Very few people have climbed as many mountains as Ginge Fullen, in fact I doubt very much that anyone ever has or will.

Ginge has summitted 154 mountains to date in his effort to complete the world challenge - to reach the highest peak in every country on Earth.

Having completed every country in Europe and Africa, Ginge tackled the Island nations - including an amusing trip to the Maldives to scale the mammoth Wilingili, standing at just 3 Metres above sea level.

During his successful attempt to climb the highest points in Africa, Ginge was kind enough to comment on the Aquapure Traveller.

"Africa's Highest Challenge is a world record attempt to climb the highest mountain in all of the 53 countries in Africa.

With the expedition expected to take a number of years in environments including jungle, African bush, snow and ice, there was a lot of planning and logistics to do.

Verifying the world record was probably the most important thing to think about. Photographic evidence and use of the latest satellite technology and equipment took care of this. Staying healthy and to keep climbing was important too. With nearly every vaccination I could have and every anti malarial pill I could carry all that was left to think about was a clean water source.

I had identified the Pure Hydration equipment early on. Many months before I started the expedition BW Technologies was kind enough to sponsor me from the outset and their product remains in my first line kit (day rucksack) as it has throughout the whole of Africa's Highest Challenge.

From my previous mountaineering experience and experience on courses such as the Commando course and Survival courses, I'd used most methods of water purification - pumps, tablets, iodine drops etc and they all worked. But the great advantage of the Aquapure Traveller is that you can't forget about purifying the water or become lazy about doing so. It's so easy. Whether I'm out in the desert, crossing swamps or just crammed in the back of a bush taxi with 20 plus people, the bottle is never out of reach.

Even in the 'cheap and dodgy' hotels in the middle of nowhere where guidebooks say - whatever else you do, don't drink the tap water, you know that with the Aquapure Traveller bottle you confidently can.

Above all, the bottles have given me peace of mind."
