Dean Dunbar is a true veteran of all those extreme sports that so few of us are brave enough to do.
Dean's history has seen him white water rafting, quad biking, cliff diving, bungy jumping (including from a helicopter), Hang gliding, Zorbing, mountain boarding, scuba diving, sky diving and even being launched via a catapult.
What makes Deano so unusual is that he is Blind.
Deano has a rare condition called "Rod and Cone Dystrophy" which means that his vision has been deteriorating since he was 9. |
Dean partakes in pretty much every extreme activity there is, but also enjoys taime travelling around the globe. When he is out and about on his travels Dean and his wife Rhona use our Aquapure Traveller to ensure they get clean water.
Rhona and I bought 2 of these bottles in 2001 for a trip we had planned. We spent 6 months travelling around India, Nepal, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti and Chile, and used our bottles constantly. In Nepal, we filled our bottles with the dirtiest water you could imagine, whilst rafting, and 15 minutes later, we were drinking it! Even our local guides were impressed with what the bottles could do. We never went thirsty!!
Since then we have taken our bottles around Ecuador, Spain, France and the UK and we can honestly say that we have tested our bottles to the max, and they never let us down.
After 3 years of constant use, we bought 2 replacement caps. Very impressive!!
