One man and his dog

One Man and his Dog

My dog Copper the Hungarian Viszla, and I have become regular runners since he was a year old. At every opportunity we pick a new route over the fields into the English countryside and beyond.

Copper was always happy just to find the nearest stream to quech his thurst. However I had to make sure that I took a bottle or two with us to help me rehidrated. Long runs, especially hot days, meant even having to resort to using a water bladder to make sure we did not run out. Consequently I have always being a little envious of a running mate that could just pick a puddle to satisfy his need for liquid to keep going.

The big problem came when we decided to go for little longer expeditions for a day or three. That meant packing super lightweight gear including special two man tent (or in our case one man and his dog), sleeping bag, essential supplies of dehydrated food. etc.

Although he carries some of his own essential supplies I had to make sure that I carry enough water to last us both for the whole adventure. That was when I discovered the Aquapure Traveller Hydration Bottle. Now I too can drink from streams safe to enjoy the taste of water fresh from nature as much as my hound does without the need to carry litres of water the entire way.
